Welcome To The FA Project Blog!

The FA Project

The FA Project is a charitable organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds to benefit those affected with Friedreich’s Ataxia. Our team is comprised of individuals who have all first learned of this debilitating disease through close relationships with FA Project founder Richard Currier. We all believe Rich is a special individual in many different ways and feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of his life.

Proceeds donated to the FA Project go directly to support those living with FA and their families. Whether it is the installation of a shower grab bar, installation of a ramp, the donation of a power wheel chair to a friend in need, physical therapy treatment, and even a travel scholarship, your donation will have a positive effect on the life of a person struggling with FA.

Additionally, a portion of all proceeds earned by the FA project are donated directly to the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance. The Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) is a national, public, 501(c)(3), non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to curing Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA) through research.

Through this blog, we hope readers will not only learn what the FA Project is doing as an organization but also get the opportunity to hear real stories from real people battling Friedreich’s Ataxia each and every day.
