BabelFAmily - The International Project to Defeat Friedreich's Ataxia
BabelFAmily is non-profit organization headquartered in Spain. This organization is a worldwide group of volunteers that unites its skills to support the greater FA community in its mission to find treatments and a cure for Friedreich’s Ataxia.
FARA - Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance
The Friedreichs Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) serves as a catalyst in public, private, scientific and patient-family communities, to build worldwide support and collaborations that drive medical research advances for Friedreichs Ataxia.
Foundation for a Miracle
The "Foundation For A Miracle" was established in 2005. The purpose of the Foundation is to assist Rochester, NY area families who have a family member with Friedreich's Ataxia and to contribute to research that will one day cure Friedreich's Ataxia.
Friedreich's Ataxia Parents' Group
In September of 1997, a small group of FA parents began a mailing list to share questions, support and information about Friedreich's ataxia. Our online support group, FAPG, has grown to an international list that now includes parents of other childhood-onset ataxias.
Fuzzy Buzzy Charity Golf Tournament
The Fuzzy Buzzy Charity Golf Tournament is an annual event held every year in September since 1987. In 2004, the tournament began raising funds for Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA). To date, the Fuzzy Buzzy has raised over $38,900 for FARA.
Muscular Dystrophy Association
MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
National Ataxia Foundation
The National Ataxia Foundation site is designed to provide information on ataxia to persons with ataxia, ataxia families, caregivers, the medical community, researchers, and others. (National Ataxia Foundation: New England Support Group)
National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke
The mission of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke is to reduce the burden of neurological disease - a burden borne by every age group, by every segment of society, by people all over the world.
Outdoors for a Cause
Outdoors For A Cause is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which brings together outdoor activities and raising money for charitable organizations. Fundraise for The FA Project in 3 simple steps:
